Our Policy: Guidelines for selling your coins to us
1. For many of our purchases, you may have your choice of payment method:
A) we will pay UP FRONT by Paypal,
or
B) by a fast, cashable check AFTER we receive the coins.
For some purchases, we will pay ONLY after we receive the coins. For purchases over $10,000, we will pay by express mail check. We realize that cash flow is the name of the game, and we will pay you as quickly as we can process your items. Our processing time is normally 1-3 days after receipt. We try our best to be very competitive with our processing time.
2. All shipments must be confirmed by e-mail before they are sent to us. Also, please include your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and an invoice, so that we may properly identify you. Please include a phone number where we may reach you during business hours.
The best possibility to lock in a price for bullion items will be to do it before 4:30 PM, EASTERN TIME, Monday thru Friday. We may possibly be able to lock in by 5:30 PM on weekdays, and possibly on Saturdays before NOON, but we can't guarantee it. We can sometimes lock in during evenings, and on Saturday afternoons. We are closed on Sundays.
3. Time-sensitive deals must be postmarked according to our confirmation agreement, or we reserve the right to cancel the deal at our discretion.
4. Please send shipments to:
Mike Martin
PO Box 213
or 126 Bridge Street (if shipping by UPS - do NOT ship by FedEx - they won't deliver here)
West Farmington, ME 04992
We don't use "Capital Coins" in our address, in order to enhance the safety of your packages.
5. Our basis for determining a lock-in price for bullion coins will be the Kitco bid prices for gold, silver and other precious metals. If we find any of your coins to be unsatisfactory to us, we will gladly return them free of charge.
6. Prices listed on our website are subject to change, depending on market conditions. Please call or e-mail to confirm prices. We will not change a price with you once it has been confirmed by e-mail, with a PO#.
7. We do not pay shipping costs when we buy coins and bullion, because we ourselves pay the shipping costs when we sell our coins.
8. If you are sending us graded raw coins, the coins must be graded strictly according to condition, and overgraded coins will be returned at your expense.
9. When mailing items to us, please make sure the coins are securely packaged, and insured for the amount at which you value them. Before you ship, check with the Post Office regarding insurance, because registered mail is less expensive than standard insured mail for larger dollar amounts. Registered mail has more stringent packaging requirements than standard mail, so check with the post office before preparing a registered package. For large dollar amounts, it is worth the extra effort to ship by registered mail, for the sake of the money you would save compared to standard mail. If you are not familiar with US Postal Flat Rate boxes, check with your Post Office before shipping. Flat Rate boxes will save you money with many shipments.
We will not be responsible for losses related to uninsured packages that are sent to us. We will also not be responsible for packages that have no return address or any other identification as to who sent them to us.
We want you to know that we greatly appreciate that you sell your coins and bullion to us. Thanks for your business!
